Legal and transparency
Cookies
This page lists the cookies actually set when you visit EPC Benchmark, who sets them, how long they last and what they are for. It describes the current production implementation, not a generic template. It is clear information, not legal advice.

Cookies set on this site
| Name | Set by | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| session-id | First party, set by the Lovable hosting platform's page-hit analytics | Approximately 30 minutes | Groups page-view events into a single short visit so that visits, pageviews, bounce rate and session duration can be counted. Analytics and statistical purpose. |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare, via the Lovable hosting and delivery infrastructure | Approximately 30 minutes | Bot management, security and reliable delivery of the site. This cookie is HTTP-only, so it cannot be read by page scripts. |
What the analytics cookie is part of
The hosting platform injects its own page-hit telemetry (/~flock.js posting to /~api/analytics). Alongside the session-id cookie it sends a timestamp, the route or full URL, the referrer, your browser user-agent, your language or locale and an approximate country inferred from your browser timezone. It is used for aggregate statistics only: visitors and pageviews, device, source and country breakdowns, bounce rate and session duration. There is more detail in the privacy notice.
Scripts, local storage and similar technologies
The rules on cookies also cover other ways of storing information on, or gaining access to, your device — for example scripts, local storage, session storage and device fingerprinting techniques. We mention this because the rules are technology-neutral, not because those techniques are all in use here: the two cookies listed above are what this site currently involves.
EPC Benchmark implements no advertising cookies and no cross-site marketing cookies.
Analytics preferences
The session-id cookie is used for statistical purposes only. You can object to that statistical use at any time, free of charge, using the control below. Choosing “Do not allow” stops the page-hit request being sent and removes the session-id cookie, so your visit is not included in later analytics.
Checking your current setting…
The preference is stored locally in your browser only, so it applies to this browser and device. You can also restrict or delete cookies through your own browser settings. Blocking cookies used for security or delivery may affect how reliably the site loads.
The UK regulator’s current guidance explains the rules in detail: ICO guidance on the use of storage and access technologies.
